[ CHARACTER INFORMATION ]
Name: Adamaï
Age: 12
Gender: Male
Canon: Wakfu
Timeline: During the Season 1 finale, right as Nox's time reversal spell begins.
Background:
Adamaï's is a dramatic tale, full of danger, intrigue, and more heartbreaking family politics than you can shake a plot-critical tofu feather at. It also spans unknown amounts of lifetimes due to a neat little reincarnation trick intrinsic to his existence. Canon pretty much states that despite his memories being wiped away from life to life, Adamaï's core personality goes unchanged: the same person following a similar destiny.
The currently relevant bits of his life starts with the hatching of one of the six primordial Dofus; ancient dragon eggs steeped in legend and possessed of great powers. From this egg came both Adamaï the adorable baby dragon and his brother, a boy (or rather, an Eliatrope) named Yugo. However, due to Spooky Half-Remembered Premonitions Of Destiny, the brothers were separated shortly after their hatching by Grougaloragran, the dragon that had guarded their egg since "the dawn of time."
this is literal, considering that the dawn of time in the World of Twelve can be traced back to when Xelor set it into motion.. by basing it from the pulses of the six primordial Dofus. EVERYTHING IS DRAGON EGGS, YOU'LL SEE
Yugo was put into the care of the coolest surrogate dad to ever exist, while Grougaloragran raised Adamaï within the isolated safety of Oma Island. While Yugo grew up completely clueless as to his origins and all the larger ramifications to such, Adamaï was the opposite: Grougal filled his ears with stories of his brother, the lost race of Eliatropes, how cool being a dragon is, and of how to do a bunch of awesome tricks with Wakfu. Flash forward ten years, when Yugo's inherent powers kick into gear - activating a message left behind by Grougal, instructing him to seek out Oma to learn about his real family. Roughly, hm - thirteen episodes of character-building adventures later, Yugo 'n pals sail right on up to it and promptly have their boat smashed via Grougal's somewhat overzealous defense measures. But it's okay, since everybody washes up on Oma's beaches anyway!!
After some, uh, hiccups, Adamaï and Grougal reunite with Yugo and there's all kinds of exposition going up ins. Here's the deal: the main villain of the season, Nox, has been abusing the power of a ridiculously powerful Eliatrope artifact called the Eliacube to systematically gather Wakfu, the force of life in all things. They need to get the Eliacube back, both to save the world from further destruction, and because it contains unknown amounts of information on the Eliatrope race that Yugo deserves to know. It's precisely now that Nox catches up with the cast, hellbent on collecting the massive amount of Wakfu in a dragon as old and powerful as Grougaloragran - something he'd been dead set on since an encounter ten years ago.
Everyone's all set for a super cool showdown, but Grougal wasn't going to risk it - he displaced Adamaï and co. (along with a good chunk of island) to a place as far away from Oma as feasible, then took the big bad on alone. Adamaï was understandably upset!
He gets even more upset when Grougaloragran ends the fight with an ended life (though that was, at least, a happily temporary condition). After receiving to a message that's basically Grougal's last will and testament, the crew's left with two goals: find and guard Grougal's Dofus, and prepare the Sadida people to defend their source of life, The Tree of Life, from Nox's encroaching predations. Neither of these goals can be waited on. After they officially take on a cool hero band name (The Brotherhood of the Tofu), the newly-christened Brotherhood splits, with Adamaï and Yugo setting off alone to retrieve the Dofus.
After crossing oceans, absurdly hot plateaus, jagged mountain ranges, even into (then out of) the belly of a beast, the brothers retrieve the Dofus and scamper their way to the Sadida Kingdom. It was a bonding experience. They arrive back in time to help plan the ever-nearing battle with Nox, and then - it starts!
Things proceed to go to hell in a handbasket. The bulk of the Sadida army was bypassed completely, leaving the tree's defense up to the Brotherhood. To cut it short: they don't succeed. One of their number - Sadlygrove - dies, and despite Yugo and Adamaï's attempts to stop him directly, Nox uses his mobile doom clock fortress to collect the Wakfu of the Tree of Life. The Sadida race withers. Life sucks.
However! Aided by the power of the Dofus, Yugo manages to lay his hands on the Eliacube for a few brief moments. In that time, the doom clock fortress is mysteriously transported to Mount Zinit, and Adamaï gets knocked out.
And that's his canon point, as far as he remembers.
While Adamaï was busy being unconscious, Nox took out Yugo and set into motion a time spell of grand proportions: a literal rewinding of the universe, meant to set time back two centuries.
The initial casting of this spell is Adamaï's actual canon point!
Personality:
>ANGELIC, CHARISMATIC, VOLCANIC--
kinda snarky
has a lot of pride
roast gerbil sounds delicious for some reason ouo
very stubborn!
when he wants to impress someone you can tell since he tries way too hard
he is both very much young and very much a young dragon, but he's definitely got a surprising amount of the politeness schtick down considering >raised on an island in the middle of nowhere
he's super protective and of yugo especially and gets very irate when left out of things!!
he is definitely not one of those "make the most of a bad situation" types; when he is unhappy you will know it and he will stay generally unhappy until the cause is remedied
he grumbles
